This page is the home of the upcoming retrofuturistic tabletop role-playing game, RōNIN. A project that I and later several members of the Shogunate have been developing for quite a while, mostly due to the fact that we're trying to get the mechanics right due to our perfectionist tendencies and my normal life resembling the sitcom, Seinfeld: one dumb and dopey situation after another.
But what isn't dumb and dopey is the games you can check out on this page!
First, my attempt to do a one-off Old School Renaissance (OSR) supplemental titled The Whisper of Three Roses back in 2022. Basically something I was farting around with during the OSR boom at the time and considering I knew next-to-nothing about it (Hey, I don't like to claim I'm expert in EVERYTHING gaming!) I didn't make a dog's breakfast of it. So if you're into OSR and you feel RōNIN isn't your brand of whiskey, give that a shot.
One last thing, I do two streams each week.
The first being the SHOGUNCAST, my weekly podcast in which I and several members of the Shogunate talk about the gaming, pop culture, and hobby news of the current week, crown those who make our hobbies better kings or queens, felt the clown-asses who make our hobbies worse with bad business practices and weapons-grade cringe, and point and laugh at general stupidity.
The second stream being the Shogun's Arcade, my weekly game stream in which I put my gaming skills to the test, throw an occasional bone to those playing the game, and tell a few stories about the game and react to any crazy moment that would happen.
